OVERVIEW

Skating Tree Town is a brief introduction into Ann Arbor’s rich skate scene, containing original design work, illustrations, photography, interviews, and historical archives. Documenting the 1980s into the early 2020s, this book attempts to synthesize Ann Arbor skate culture and its community. This interdisciplinary design project was the culmination of my Art & Design undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan.

All proceeds from the sale of Skating Tree Town were donated to All Girls Skate, a program hosted by the Ann Arbor Skatepark that serves female skaters of all ages and abilities. Skating Tree Town was sold at local retailers Bookbound Bookstore, Olympia Skate Shop, Vault of Midnight, and online.
